DriveCast TV runs on your own computer and sends your photos and videos to your own TV over your own Wi-Fi. We do not receive your files, and there is no account for us to attach them to.

What we collect

When you use DriveCast TV at home: nothing.

The app has no sign-up, asks for no email address, and sends us no analytics about your library. Your folders, filenames, photos and videos are read by the app on your computer and never transmitted to us.

What stays on your computer

All of it lives in your own user folder. Uninstalling the app or deleting that folder removes it.

Checking for updates

The app periodically asks our update server whether a newer version exists. That request tells us the version you are running and your general location, as any web request does. We do not connect it to an identity, because we do not have one for you.

Watching away from home

This feature is not available yet. When it arrives, it will work like this, and this section will be updated before it does:

What we never do

Children

DriveCast TV is a tool for your own files and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Your choices

Because we hold nothing about you, there is nothing to request, export or delete from us. Everything the app knows is on your computer and under your control. Removing a connected TV or deleting the app removes it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters — particularly when away-from-home viewing launches — we will update this page and the date above, and say so in the app.
